Where is Eastern Dispersal Link or EDL?
The Eastern Dispersal Link or EDL is located around the central parts of Johor Bahru. It is one of the major roads in JB mainly because it is directly connected to the PLUS North-South Expressway.
The EDL cuts through the city centre of JB which makes it a high-traffic road of the capital. In fact, the EDL is one of the most important roads here by virtue of its connectivity that leads directly to the CIQ (Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex) for those going to and coming in from Singapore.
It starts at the Pandan interchange coming from the north via the North-South Expressway. Here, vehicles from other states will use the expressway which will then continue towards Jalan Pandan towards the east and the Tebrau Highway that goes towards the west before heading southwards.
For those who are intending to get to the southern part of JB or Singapore, the EDL will then continue on which is adjacent to Sungai Tebrau. It will pass by Kampung Desa Jaya and Pasir Pelangi which will then line along the coast. The Berjaya Waterfront is located around here before EDL reaches the CIQ and then towards Komtar (Tun Abdul Razak Complex) and on to JB Sentral.
