Bujang Valley is considered as the earliest signs of civilisation in Malaysia. It is located in Merbok in Kedah. In fact, the Bujang Valley civilisation is recorded to have existed long before the likes of the Sri Vijaya and the Majapahit empires that came about around 700 A.D and 1200 A.D respectively. The Bujang Valley is one of the few Indianised kingdoms around the South East Asia region and is believed to have practiced animism before the Hindu and Buddhist teachings came. Today, you can visit the archaeological museum where you can view some very fascinating and amazing artefacts and remnants.
