Apart from entertainment and shopping, Bukit Bintang is a great place to enjoy a good meal as there is a wide variety of choices and all types of F&B options available. It has been said that one cannot try out everything in a day when it comes to food in Bukit Bintang mainly because there are so many stalls and restaurants that serve fine dining to hawker style food in penang.

Shanghai @ JW Marriot – If you like fine dining and do not mind the pricey environment, you can try out the luxurious Shanghai in JW Marriot just opposite Pavilion Shopping Centre. This is where the food is good, environment is exclusive and you are very much dining like a royalty. Its Shanghai lounge environment is modelled after the 1920s era, making the meal extremely comfortable and luxurious.

Jalan Alor – This is where you will be greeted with literally hundreds of stalls that serve all types of local food. If you are a food lover and has heard all about how good Malaysian food is, Jalan Alor is the perfect place to start. You can start from one point where you will most likely not finish the entire stretch as there are just too many to try. The local Satay is a must-try while others include the local favourite Wan Tan Mee, Duck Rice and just about anything you can think of.

Dining In The Dark – As the name implies, this is the first restaurant in Malaysia where you practically dine in pitch darkness. Modelled after the likes of Dans Le Noir and Opaque in New York, you are prone to be more focused on the food and the people near you instead of being distracted by what is going on around you. After all, you would not be able to see what is going on anywhere else anyway.

Hutong @ Lot 10 – If you like hawker food but do not appreciate the heat and noise of the ongoing traffic, you can go to the Lot 10 Shopping Centre where the Hutong food court is located. Go toward the basement level of the mall and you will be greeted with the aroma of some of the best hawker foods brought together in a comfortable food court setting.

Food Court @ Sungei Wang Plaza – This is a very popular place among those who work in Bukit Bintang to enjoy an affordable meal. A must-try here is the mix rice (often called economy rice) where you can mix and match a variety of dishes in a mountain of rice.
