Putrajaya Flower & Garden Festival
There is some truth to the saying that ‘a flower garden makes a house comes alive’. Good news for flower enthusiasts, plan ahead on your trip to Malaysia to catch the successful Flower & Garden Festival held in Putrajaya. Dubbed as Malaysia’s premier outdoor garden and flower showcase, FLORIA made its debut in 2007 and continued in 2009 following positive responses from locals and foreigners.
The festival displays the best of Malaysian and international landscape from commercial landscape products to exotic garden design showcase. Besides exhibitors from Malaysia, there are also foreign exhibitors participating in FLORIA to showcase collection of flowers display in outdoor theme garden.
FLORIA 2010 set its theme flower as Heliconia where stunning species were displayed during the festival such as garden and landscape designs as well as floral decorations. In addition to that, 10 international landscape designers were also present at the Floral Festival namely Jim Fogarty (Australia), Sabine Calame (Netherlands), Andy Sturgeon (UK), Joel Marc Frappier (Canada), Anne Leeson (UK), Andy Djati Utomo (Indonesia), Franca Logan (New Zealand), Koji Ninomiya (Japan) and Rada Ristich (Serbia). Rows of stalls and tents showcasing landscape, horticulture, arts and crafts were set up to add colours to the festival. Furthermore, activities such as competitions, live entertainment, gardening workshops and talks were also organized to draw larger crowd.
