Matta Travel Fair
Matta Travel Fair began in 1991 and since then, it has become an annual event with over 800 booths to draw crowds nationwide. So far, visitors’ turnout rate has exceeded 100,000 during the 3-day event. Back in 1991, there were only 80 booths but as more visitors turn out during each event, the number of booths increased drastically to fulfill visitors’ needs and demands. The event has earned the title Malaysia’s No.1 Travel Fair from Malaysia Book of Records.
Since tourism industry is the second largest economic sector in the country, Malaysia constantly welcome visitors from abroad with magnificent events to appeal to larger crowd. Supported by Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Malaysia Airlines, Abacus and KTM, the fair was meant to allow members of public to have easier access to find all their travel needs under one roof.
During the 3-day event, visitors can get packages and offers at the best price! This most awaited and much talked travel fair is usually held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). Formerly an annual event, Matta Fair now comes twice a year so for those who have miss it the first time, do not fret.
