Lost Concert tickets
I recently used my credit card to purchase 2 very expensive concert tickets for an international superstar. However, I lost my wallet and the tickets were gone too. I then approached the ticket management and requested to have them replaced. They told me that it is not possible as there was a disclaimer that stated that the organiser will not be liable for any loss or damage on the tickets. The problem is that the tickets cost me about RM500 each and I have to buy new tickets to enter the show. Can they do this?
Yes, they can. You can complain and lodge a police report all you want but it is truly your responsibility to keep your tickets properly. According to the law, the organiser has every right to deny replacing your lost ticket because a person could have sold the tickets and then claiming to have lost them and ask for new ones.
