Cheated by Car seller
I bought a used car recently believing that it was ‘accident free’. This was stated on the advertisement and by the dealer. My mistake was that I did not check it before buying it. After the process was done, I sent the car to Puspakom which they told me that there was a join-mark. I re-check with the dealer and true enough, the car was involved in a major accident. What should I do?
Essentially, there is not much you can do here because the car is already sold and the check with Puspakom came after the deal. However, under the Sales of Goods Act, you can try to bring your case further. Collect your documents and you can try and lodge your report with the Consumers Tribunal although they will only accept cases below RM25,000.
