A joint is the connection between 2 bones and because we have so many bones in our body, any part could be faulty and it will be too late by then. This means that if you bend your elbows, sit down, bend your back, type on the keyboard and such, you are applying pressure on your joints. Imagine if you are overweight!

Obesity in the world today has reached an alarming rate. Whether you are aware of it or not, you could be in this segment and that could be an extremely dangerous situation. Besides being at risk for heart attacks or strokes, being overweight means you are inflicting more pressure to your joints, an area usually overlooked by many people. Your joints suffer from wear-and-tear as you grow older and in most cases, you are not even aware of that. Most people after the age of 40 will experience joint pains and problems but this health condition has now reached those in the 30s. So before you experience problems like arthritis, osteoporosis , rheumatism or other joint problems, take steps to ensure your body gets the following minerals.

Calcium – Calcium has long been associated with bone health which is why babies drink milk from the time they were bone all the way till they reach adulthood. It is a known fact that calcium promotes healthy development of the bones and teeth while preventing problems like osteoporosis when the person reaches old age.

Vitamin D – Some contemporary studies in recent years have found that Vitamin D is actually nearly as important as Calcium in terms of promoting bone health. In any case, Vitamin D helps to regulate the joints while it is the agent that helps the body to absorb Calcium when taken.

Glucosamine – This is the natural ingredient used to promote and enhance your cartilages which is the connective tissue used by the joints. Besides helping in building and strengthening of the cartilages, glucosamine is known to help in relieving joint pains and promote better movements.

Grapeseed extracts have been known to improve collagen flexibility. Besides that, this supplement helps in easing the pains felt in the joints particularly among those above the age of 40 where these areas have become less efficient than before.

Doing some knee exercises while sitting on a chair will help a lot as well.
