The rules of basketball is fairly simple. It is just like any ball games which are played around the world either competitively or leisurely where the objective is to shoot the ball into the goal of the opposing team.

The game is played with 5 player in each team and they will try to out-score each other by accumulating the most points. In this game, the goal is to hoop the ball into the basket. Each goal is 2 points while there is a 3 pointer line which is a semi-circle outside the basket which if one shoots into the basket from there will garner 3 points.

The loop is located 10 feet above the ground in front of a board which the players can use it to rebound into the loop. Teams would have to work together in a series of passes and jumps to make it to the opposing side. To do that, there are rules which one must follow. Players cannot run with the ball and if they want to they will have to bounce the ball en route towards any direction. They will have to pass the ball to their team mates who will then find the best chance to shoot it into the basket.

In most competitions, there will be 2 halves of which each half is 20 minutes. In the NBA it is played in 4 quarters, each one being 12 minutes long.
