What are the top entertainment spots in Bukit Bintang?
Bukit Bintang is a major entertainment hub of the Klang Valley. In fact, it forms the nucleus of being the heart of the city where it is most exciting and happening. Bukit Bintang is constantly filled with activities and people walking about enjoying the food and shopping. It is vibrant throughout the day from the mornings and it is usually the evenings when it comes alive.
Changkat Bukit Bintang – This is perhaps the most significant spot for nightlife and clubbing. There are many pubs and clubs on both sides of this street known in short as ‘Changkat’. From one end to the other, it would be impossible to go bar hopping into all the clubs here like Pisco Bar, the infamous Havana Bar & Grill, the Rabbit Hole and such. Since Telawi Square in Bangsar converted into a more subdued area, Changkat has become quite the de facto for clubbers.
Movies – There are several cinemas around Bukit Bintang for those who like movies. GSC (Golden Screen Cinemas) operates their cinemas in Berjaya Times Square and Pavilion Shopping Centre where they have their premium class halls as well. Over in Suria KLCC, movie lovers can head out to the TGV Cinemas.
Theme Park – Berjaya Times Square is the largest shopping mall in Bukit Bintang. Located along Jalan Imbi, it houses an indoor theme park complete with a roller-coaster ride with a string of many other attractions for everyone in the family. For those who like the outdoors can head out to Suria KLCC where there is an outdoor natural park which is a very popular place for evening walks. Here, there is a fountain show that comes out during the evenings.
Jalan Kia Peng – The infamous Beach Club is located along Jalan Kia Peng where it is still very much the preferred nightlife hangout among those who dwell around this enclave. The evenings start with happy hours where corporate workers unwind and relax after a long day’s work around the likes of Petronas Twin Towers, the Phileo buildings and the surroundings.
Zouk – Located along Jalan Ampang is the international club Zouk. There is a party here every night with international acts coming in almost on a weekly basis.
Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra – With a world-class acoustic hall, the Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra plays at Petronas Twin Towers, bringing some of the most remarkable and memorable classical performances to the audiences throughout the calendar year.
Hard Rock Café – This is a global icon that offer great music and excellent food located along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Concorde Hotel.
