Can I practice my faith in Malaysia?
Yes, Malaysia is considered as one of the most religious free countries. Its official religion is Islam which means that there are certain religious teachings and practices being adopted in the legal and social system. However, Christians, Buddhists and people of other faiths are free to observe their practices in Malaysia where there are churches, temples and other places of worship. Malaysia also observes the respective occasions of these faiths throughout the calendar year that include Chinese New Year, Christmas, Deepavali and others. One thing to note though is that literature and preaching of other faiths are not allowed in the public or to the Muslims.
